Ethical Codex of Welfare
Laboratory animals are used exclusively for research and development of pharmaceutical products designed for veterinary medicine.
Domestic and farm animals are included in experiments when they are target species for the test item in question.
All studies are subject to an approval of the professional Ethic Committee established in our company as well as of the Departmental Commission of Experts of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. This includes authorizing the use of animals for experimental study.
Whenever approved alternative methods are available for a type of a study, animals are not used in the study.
When the type of a given study permits, the number of animals included is reduced to the minimum in accordance with the principles of “Three Rs” – Replacement, Reduction and Refinement of animals in experiments.
All the staff is periodically trained in subjects of animal behavior, animal breeding and welfare regulations.
Stables fulfill the welfare regulations for each category of animals and are tailored to the individual category of animals (cattle, pigs, goats, sheep, poultry, etc.).
Environmental conditions are monitored in each stable and systems of environmental condition regulation are installed.
All animals are under daily veterinary inspection and care.
